Activity Description​

Converts a template to a Virtual Machine.

Settings​

  • Host Name—The host name or IP address. This must be either the vCenter device or the ESXi device (you can configure the device with Platform type vCenter/ESXi under Devices).
  • User Name—The user name of an account that has read/write access to the host.
  • Password—The password of the account listed in the User Name field.
  • Template Name/UUID—The template name/UUID of the Virtual Machine.
  • Type—Select where the VM will run: an ESXi resource pool (Pool) or an ESXi host (Host).
  • Resource Pool—(Only when Type: Pool is selected) The ESXi resource pool name.
  • Host Name—(Only when Type: Host is selected) The ESXi host name.
